well christmas flew by and i cant say i will miss making christmas cards for a little while.

i've packed the christmas papers away and wont look at them untill at least august lol

this is my first calendar page for my good friend Papercraftpat.

i've used brown papermania cardstock and another papermania cardstock, it was from a forever friends pad. (not sure of the name)

the letters and numbers are GoKreate dies set.

the image is a lovely whiff of joy stamp and the jute ribbon was from ebay.

i've had a lovely eveing playing with snowflakes, my craft table looks so pretty with them all laid out and drying. Natalie from NGCARDS told me about twinklets and i love it! (thanks Nat)

i've made this card for the challenge over at WOJ using one of their stamps of course.

the frosty border is from oysterstamps and is a memorybox die.

the 'let it snow' sentiment is from sizzix with some added twinklets.

hello, happy sunday!

i just love sundays, i have my family home for traditional sunday roast and lots of laughs and hugs, its perfect.

i hope you are all having a lovely weekend too.

i still found time to watch Bridesmaids on dvd which was hilarious and still made a couple of cards, all while cooking dinner!

why do us women find it so easy to multi task? lol

i enjoyed making the challenge card so much i made another one.

i've used bobunny paper again too and a stunning MemoryBox die (purchased from oysterstamps)

a DoCrafters member helped me out with a tip for the snowdrops and im pleased with the result, thanks Digger!

clay hearts again, they are so much fun to make and so simple.

i'm not sure if i can enter mo's challenge more than once but im sure she will let me know if im breaking the rules. lol

hello,

i decided i needed a little challenge so headed for Mo mannings site. i just love her artwork.

so the challenge this week is to use my favorite mo image, thats impossible!

there are far too many favorites to choose just one!

so i used my newest image, thats my favorite at the moment LOL

i've used some gorgeous BoBunny paper for this one.

also made a cute little heart charm from clay. i love playing with clay, will i ever grow up?

i hope not!

well, now the christmas stash is out on my table i think i'll make use of it and make another card.

i'll check out mo's other images first and treat myself.

hello, i hope you all enjoyed the long weekend.

we had a lovely family roast yesterday and the 'men' in the family played demolition games in my son's new house. errrrk!

they have taken out everything but the wall and next weekend the chimney will be history!

i must say they worked up an appetite though and every plate was clean. lol

us girls just had fun cooking and chatting and i didnt get crafting untill they all left.

thats when i settled down at the craft table and made this easle card.

totally inspired by mina at pinkpuds

i just love her blog and it makes me want to craft.

i have used the same image by Mo manning and papermania's recycled card blanks.

the gorgeous swirl is a chery lyn one from oysterstamps.

ive coloured the image with promarkers and will enter this card into their challenge this week.

hello, i've got a couple of bits to add today and will start with my notecards.

tutorial came from paula (pottermad at docrafts)

it's very easy to follow and will make a nice little gift for my mum.

i've used Picnic in the Park papers and a liliofthevalley stamp.

he sould be holding a big flower but i didnt want that for these simple notecards.

how cute is this little pirate teddy. he is my latest digi. you can find him at pollycraftdigi's and he is a bargain price of just 99p

i've coloured him with promarkers and will enter him in the challenge at passionforpromarkers this week.

i've also used a papermania recycled paper card blank and the map is a colouring page which i resized and coloured with promarkers

this one is a little different for me but don't worry, i haven't lost the plot. well not completely! lol

this is my decorated spatular and its not for cooking. its perfect for those hard to press paper punches, simply put the spatular on top of the punch and press, its works a treat......go on, try it!

this is so easy to make, a simple stack of evelopes with a little secret.....

top envelope is hinged to reveal a nice choccie snack.

this card is for my nephew who is such a computer geek!

its ok, he won't mind me saying that about him. lol

cotton anniversary

good afternoon, what a lovely one it is here too, the sun is shining bright, it feels like summer!

i'm here with another card, this time i've made a 2nd anniversary card.

the second anniversary is of course cotton so what better way to celebrate than to add this gorgeous tatted cotton bracelet.

simply untie the bows and wear. itsn't it fab!

i wish i could say i tatted the bracelet but sadly im not that talented.

i got it from a very special and clever lady called margaret. you may know her as margaretD2 from docrafts.

please check out her etsy store if you would like a gorgeous tatted item.

the paper tag is easily removed before you want to wear it.

it looks great on and is perfect for holidays, its so light to wear.

i love it so much i've got one for myself.

and mine has got tiny beads on it!

i've used first edition papers and a freebie stamp from a magazine.

this little bear is the stamp that cost me a small fortune, he was the one who got me into stamping.

hello,

im here early today with a little post it note holder. it was going to be tonight's project but i couldnt wait to get started.

i love this lilofthevalley image.....well, lets face it, i love all lotv images!

post it notes were on a bogof offer this week at sainsbury's so please pop back to see another idea i have for them.

for this one i have used DCWV paper stack, Nana's Nursery.

the roses were simple punched flowers, i love making them but they do take a bit of time. worth it though i think.

can you believe the weekend has gone by so fast! i really think we should add every friday to the weekend dont you?

i've not done much crafting this weekend, unless you include craft shopping because hubby has treated me to a couple of bits. i'm sure he will be pleased when he finds out! lol

one of the treats was this gorgeous angel digi from craftsandme. isnt she beautiful and she is so nice to colour.

i used a mix of copics and spectrum noirs.

i gave my verdict on the noirs over at docrafts.

back to my card, it was almost thrown together really, i was more interested in the colouring in part.

i used marianne dies for the heart and first edition, spring feast paper which is lush!

chucked on some glamour dust clear gems.

as its pretty flat i think i'll try to laminate it and leave it on my sisters grave for her birthday this month.

i've had a little sort out today and found this bundle of plastic canvas, i was actually looking for fimo. LOL

i looked on ebay and one sheet is £2.90 inc post!! so this little lot is a bargain.

17 sheets of plastic canvas, mixed colours, white, clear and black.

10 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches

i'll have a look after dinner and might find some patterns, i know ive got some here......somewhere! lol

two sheets have one corner missing.

hello,

i have had so much fun making this card, it really took me back to when i was a little girl and collected the comic called mandy. she was a paper doll with lots of cut out clothes. hmm i wonder if that was the start of my crafting addiction?

i've made this card using Mo's image Trudy. i printed the dress a few times on patterned paper and used a ribbon to hold the selection of dresses to the card.

the doll is removable too and the image underneath her is blank so the recipient can colour it in herself.

i wonder if her mummy will let her use the copics to colour in Trudy?

hmmm i think not!

i used papermania recycled card blank, im loving these.

doggy charm was from a £1 shop in tenby, its now called the £1.20 shop which made me laugh.

today i have made this box for my mum's birthday. im not sure what i will put inside it yet but i have plenty of time to think about that.

WOJ challenge

aww i love this new digi from whiff of joy!

my son was a huge MJ fan when he was little so i thought this would be perfect for his 28th birthday. my goodness, is he really 28? where did the time go?

he got married on the 11 june and made us the proudest parents ever!

i used black card stock from stash and a sheet of music paper. labels one die to cut out the woj image. i added some stars using wobbly bits, i got a few spare wobbly bits but i wont go into that now LOL

i have to say that coz im waiting for a music sentiment to add to this card and pat has the perfect stamp so has kindly offered to send me a couple. lol

so onto the card, this one is the couple who live next door to me. they get married tomorrow! (8th)

i wanted to keep the card simple but still stand out in the crowd. i hope ive achieved that.

the slider is gorgeous, its metal with glass gems and they really sparkle.

this is a freebie card as the lace was a pressie from my craft buddy, the papers were free with Homemade magazine and the cupcakes and sentiment were freebie stamps on Creativity magazine. all i had to pay for was the LOTV stamp and just look at it.....it was worth every penny!

before i tell you about todays card i must start with a HUGE thank you to Pickle from docrafts, she fixed my broken blog and got me up and running again. she then made me all pretty and ready for spring.

what would we do without our crafty friends?

now my card.....

i made this one for the challenge over at DC. its for all LOTV addicts and that certainly inclueds me!

i just love these stamps.

this card has the theme

L = Love? my love is all lotv stamps so that was easy.

O = Old? my old item is my 3D gloss which i always forget to use. here ive used it on the mirror, shoes and beads.

T = Time. my time is summer, these pretty flower papers do make me think of summer.

and last is

V = Volume so ive added loads of layers with papers, beads and flowers.

today i have made a card for the challenge over at LOTV, i have to admit that i am a huge lili fan. i just love their stamps and i'm looking forward to the new release on the 9th march. oh my goodness, i just know i will be sitting up all night waiting to bag some of those new cuties!

the theme this week is circles, really easy with the new circle sentiments and ive also included a circle cake.

i'm just short of the birthday candles to go in the box and then in the cake. i'll have to pop out tomorrow for those.

i've used the Ooh la la papers from craft works and plain card from papermania. the butterfly's are made using the xcut dimentions punch and the sentiment is a cuttlbug die.

I've used papermania papers again and mounted on silver card. the snowflakes are punched from silver card using a xcut paper punch.

hello, i've got another christmas card today, this one is for the shaped challenge over at Sparkle Creations weekly christmas card challenge

wow there are some lovely cards and idea's on this blog and some lovely stamps too.

my card is a plate style and very quick and easy to make. i've used an embossing folder and papermania sentiment. the flowers were sut using Marinanne Design's gorgeous poinsettia die's bought from cuttingedgecrafts. one of my favorite online craft shops!

morning all,
postie has been but still no sign of the new liliofthevalley stamps grrrr! i can't wait for them to arrive.
in the meantime i have been busy with some christmas cards. this one is is being entered for the challenges over at Paper Sundaes and also The Crafty Pad. my first time on both these site but equally lovely and i will follow with interest, what a great find.
back to my card...it is a simple layout, great because i'm rubbish at getting the layer straight lol i've used papermaia products, cardstock and papers. the sentiment is also papermania. a x-cut snowflake punch and a cutie penny black stamp, i think he's called xmouse. ribbon was a gift from my friend papercraftpat (hello pat)!

i made this card for a friends new baby and i am entering it for the girls challenge over at liliofthevalley.

as you can see, there is no sentiment so roll on the 12th of november when lili release their new and gorgeous sentiment stamps! if you haven't seen them yet, get over there right away, they are lovely and must have stamps! i hope they have some left by the time i get there! lol

today i have another challenge card, this time its 'mans best friend' over at CRAFT

I LOVE THIS IMAGE!

i made the collar using some brown cardstock and some studs that have been in the draw forever.....i knew they would come in handy one day!

the charm came in a pack of three from a really cheap pet shop.

i've laminated the image so it can be used as a bookmark and attached it with doggy bone paper clips.

being a doggy person myself, this challenge was easy lol i have lots of doggy craft bits in my stash and a very spoilt real doggy in my house!

my card today was made for my good craft friend, papercraftpat over at docrafts. i got to visit her on saturday and had a lovely time.

i used my promarkers on this image and went for the sepia look but i need to work on that lol its a great reason to order new pens though.

the paper is by papermania and i've glittered a snowflake cut with a x-cut punch.

i'm not sure what this style of card is called but i half cut the nestie so it sort of swivels.

the cute little mouse is my newest stamp. he's a penny black and i love him! lol

hi crafters,
today i have got my sketch saturday card to show you, i've used this house mouse stamp so many times and still love it. i guess it helps to have a hubby that is into photography!

the papers were sent to me in a swap so i have no idea what they are but i think they work with this image.

the simple sentiment is a papermania stick on.

i've used a yellow ribbon but coloured it black using my promarker and you would never guess lol

ok must go and make sure i'm not missing anything on qvc craft now.

aww yummy, i love strawberries!

the inspiration for this card came from a friend over at DoCrafts, craftingallday, check out her blog she makes such beautiful cards and when i saw the strawberries in her gallery i just had to order them. you can find them here at joanna sheen.

tilda and strawberries were coloured with promarkers and I scruntched up some parcel paper then inked it with Tim Holtz distress ink, tea die.

i hope you like the finished card. i am pleased with it which is rare for me.

promarker challenge card

evening all, oh dear it has been raining all afternoon and my poor dog went to bed sulking so i sat and made this card for the promarker challenge over at passionforpromarkers the theme this week is Music and of course you have to use promarkers on the card.

well i love my promarkers so that part was easy!

easel shape again, i must stop doing these!

i've used an old music sheet to stamp the letters on and used the Mikey digi image, i've sat him ontop of an old cd (one of hubby's not mine) lets hope he thinks its 'old' too!

How cute is Mikey? aww if i was 30 years younger and made of paper.......!!

the weather isn't looking to bright today but thats the perfect excuse to stay inside and craft. i've got a list of 6 cards to make before the weekend so i'm hoping to get at least two done today. i know....i'm not the fastest crafter in the world.

my card today is another easel card, this time for my teenage nephew. teenage cards are not easy for me, i'm a bit out of touch lol i'm sure i've got it right though with this one.

hello bloggers, happy monday to you all.

the weather here is still lovely and sunny so i sat in the garden and coloured this joanna sheen image to go on my mum's 80th birthday card. notice there is no big 8 0 on the card, she would not appreciate that! lol

i think she will also tell me off about tearing pages from a book, i was always taught to respect books so 'sorry mum' cor i came close to saying 'it wasn't me' then and letting my brother take the blame.....again! lol some things never change.

i love this easel shapped card and its so easy to make.

i've stamped mum with Dimentions Fourth alphabet stamps, i really must go back on that site and see if anything catches my eye, they are great stamps.

(oops sorry about the side view)

the tiny poppy heads were picked from my garden yesterday, i have no idea why they were so tiny but they are perfect for cards so i hope i can grow them again next year.

i've used Tim Holtz tea die distress ink on the book pages and the nellie frame but i'm sure my dear old mum will just think i've smudged it.....she is not a crafter!

i'm think she is going to like this card though. thats one down but i had better get on and make the 'nan' cards now from my son's.

this was so simple, just some brown cardstock cut into a simple flowerpot shape them some punched flowers (always a great way to use up scraps)

sorry about the poor photo, i'm not sure what happened but i'm certainly not a top photographer. it must be something to do with the light as you can see the inking on the edge of the papers very well. no matter, you get the idea.

aww i enjoyed the challenge over at cupcake and i shall be making more of these now i know its so simple.

the challenge was to make a matching set so i made a card and a post-it note book.

i think the image is penny black. all the papers were freebies from a magazine but i liked the cheerfull sunflowers.

i used labels4 and papermania friends stamp. woodware daisy punch for flowers and a couple of gems from my stash.

todays challenge was set by my good friend sarah from DC. any occassion black and white card. sounds simple but the embossing powder was fighting back! i got in a right old mess with it and it wasn't as white as i would have liked it to be, hmmm a bit like my net curtains!

no time for curtain washing or any form of HW though, i'm having far too much fun playing with paper.

hello! i'm here to add my RED theme card for the challenge over at CRAFTS and i really enjoyed this one, if fact i enjoyed the challenge so much i made two red cards. well being a gooner, red is my colour! lol

so here is the first card, i used my prisma pencils to colour the image but i think i need a bit more practice with them.

papers are basic grey and a simple punched heart with craft wire and the cute little silver beads are from poppy-petal designs shop, i love her beads and digi's, check them out if you have a minute.

so this is my first red card, i'll be back later to add the second......watch this space!

aww i've had a lovely morning, i got the dreaded ironing done early and then sat playing with paper. this is what i came up with. i am doubling up on my challenges this week and it will go into the girlie challenge over on passion for promarkers and also the sketch challenge on cupcake site, i love both these sites.

my card is made using Basic grey papers Euphoria and the beautiful original artwork is by Usada, (i have got permission to use this) please ask artist if you also want it but no profits can be made from it. (thanks Usada)

i've coloured the image in pale shades of promarkers. i usually go for richer shades but this image just wouldn't work darker....or would it? hmmm

well, i just about have time to make lunch before craft tv come on!

awww its very christmassy today, the garden is all white and pretty, easy for me to say when i can stay inside and keep warm!

i used a Go Kreate die to cut the numbers but nearly drove myself crazy, the paper kept sticking in the die and i couldn't get it out. i'm doing something wrong but i have no idea what!

all the papers are from the Daisy & Dandelion christmas collection and papermania brads in christmas colours and snowflakes.

the images are allsorts, whiff of joy, lili of the valley, and tilda.

now for the difficult part....what should i put inside? lol

don't worry i'm not with this, its for next year.
