Love is in the Air

 

 

Oh my word its Feburary already, the month of love.

 

over at creative inspirations we would love to see all your valentines cards and anything to do with love.

 

oh I just love this time of year, I'm all loved up and still enjoy a cozy snuggle with my hubby and a good film to watch together LOL

 

I've made this card for my hubby...

 

 

I love TeddyBo digi stamps and using them for my husbands cards has become a bit of a habit. they always fit with what I want I want to say and this one is no exception.

Ive used copics to colour the bears using

 E11 E13 E23 E34 E43 E47 E55

the hats and clothes were coloured using

R14 R17 R39 YG95 and W7

and the sky is B95 & B97

 

I did the sentiment on the computer using sweetheart font and papyrus and its so true

Together is my favourite place to be.

 

the heart border die is from Lala Land

February's pinterest project

 

Hi crafters,

I know its only the 2nd today but I was soooo keen to get started on this project that I started early. plus I expected it to take me more than a month to make but it was surprisingly easy.

 

I'm still a crochet beginner and have only made 5 things before this, two blankets, two scarves and a poppy brooch so this was a bit of a challenge but I totally loved making it.

 

the original pattern was done using jute twine but as Im new to crochet I thought I wouldn't be able to manage that so I used some crochet cotton instead and I love it.

 

I will have to get some jute now though and make another one.

star stitch. easier than it looks....honest!

 

so that's February's pinterest project finished already so I might have to make another one.

I have lots of idea's saved.

I made the roses using two different sizes of cheery lynn Tea roses die. they are so easy to cut and stick together. I love them.

 

the single rose stamp was a gift from my friend and fellow DT member Sarah Swire but it doesn't have a name on the wooden block so I can't tell you who makes it.

 

the frame is a Marianne Die CR1241

Creative Inspirations Pearls

 

Happy Wednesday!

well I really hope its going to be a happy Wednesday because its also weigh day at slimming world so my fingers are crossed!

 

Its also the day for another challenge at Creative Inspirations and this week we would like to see your projects with added pearls, how easy is this one. we all love pearls...right?

 

so here is my card

 

 

I love this image!

I've had this stamp a long time now but I still love her.

 

you can find this stamp set here

they were posted out to me very quickly and will definiately buy from them again. I love their stamps.

 

the feathers were cut using some parchment type paper and the die was free with Simply cards and Papercraft magazine this month.

Homemade magazine has the matching stamp set so I'm tempted to buy that aswell.

New Years Resolution..... January = Check

 

Hello crafters,

 

I'm here with my January project today. Some of my docraft refugee buddies will already know that my New year resolution is to try at least one Pinterest project each month for 2015.

I keep saving all the amazing things I see but spend so much time looking at things and not actually making anything so that is going to change.

 

hmmm do I sound confident?

 

so.... its January 18th and I've tried a slimming world recipe and they was amazing!

I've added that to my January pin board if anyone wants to try it, trust me, it was yummy, even my husband loved it!

 

hmmm but recipes are not really crafting are they so I thought I'd find something better and as Pickle had inspired me to learn to crochet I thought that would be a good first project.

as I said though, im a total beginner so I cant make amazing things yet and decided a scarf would be a good starting point.

 

I searched pinterst (for more hours than I want to admit to) and found a Puff stitch scarf. perfec!

 

I did two rows twice and undid them but on the third attempt something in my pea brain clicked and I was off......

 

its so puffy and soft, I love it!

giving myself a pat on the back here. LOL

wow 2014 flew by didn't it.

 

so here we are in 2015 and our first challenge this year at creative inspirations is to use a ribbon

 

simple aye?

 

of course it is. here is my card...

 

 

I chose organza ribbon for this card and worked round that adding the Impression Obsession heart sticks, I just love that die.

 

I stamped and embossed some vellum which looks nicer in real life.

 

I've also added lots of stickles and some pearls.
