this week has flown by due to the easter break I guess so its already Wednesday and time for another challenge at Creative inspirations

 

here is my DT card using a cute KennyK image

 

 

I've used copic markers to colour her.

Getting back to Nature

 

 

wow we had so many entires at creative inspirations this last fortnight and I've really enjoyed visiting some of your blogs to see what all you talented crafters have been making.

thats the best part of being on a design team, popping in to visit other crafters blogs so thank you to everyone who entered from Natalie, me and the rest of the design team.... you guys rock!

 

 

so now its time for a new challenge and this fortnight we are getting back to nature....

 

this one suits me like a glove as I love nature, especially British nature.

 

perfect opportunity to plug my husbands blog here... brianspictures.blogspot.com, he takes some amazing photos of our british wildlife so please pop over and leave him some love.

 

here is my nature card...

 

 

various circle dies were used to make the front of the card and I used antique linen and vintage photo distress inks.

 

the inside of the card is a Cover~a~Card stamp from Impression Obsession called Birds on Trees.

Its a large stamp but using my Misti makes easy work of stamp it it.

 

the stamp set used is one I bought from a facebook craft group so I don't know the name of them, if anyone can help me find out I would be grateful.

 

I've used some paper twine and an acorn charm to add the finishing touch.

somthing pretty

 

Hello my crafty friends....

 

Its time for a new challenge at creative inspirations and the theme this fortnight is

Something Pretty.

 

It doesn't come much easier than that does it, we all like pretty cards don't we.

 

so here is mine....

 

 

 

I used paper smooches 'Love' die and memory box stitched hearts.

The triangle border is an Apple Blossom die.

 

 

Magnolia Tag with gem alphabet.

 

I hope my mum likes this card but she is a typical mum and still saves anything I have made for her.

You should see some of my school pottery projects that she still has, they are monsters but she loves them like only a mother can. lol

 

I may take some photo's and blog about my art work, hmm its an insult to call it art! lol

 

getting back to my card...

Pinterest PinChicks monthly challenge

wow February has come to an end already so that means time for the PinChicks to share their projects...

here is what I chose to make.

Crochet slippers!

I'm not happy with the felt heart, I think maybe some beads would be better, what do you think?

nice and cozy!

These didn't take very long to make but i'm only a uk size 3 so they are only little.

if anyone wants to join us pls contact one of us for details but basically all you have to do is pick a project from pinterest and give it a try. it can be crochet, knitting, papercraft, gardening or even a cleaning tip. Absolutely anything goes as long as you found it on pinterest.

the main rule is that you have to blog about your project and show it us even if it was a complete fail... it will give us all a giggle if it went wrong LOL

I'm usually the one at the top of the fail list but I have so much fun trying something new.

sugar bowl challenge 134

 

hello crafty friends,

 

Its time for another challenge at the sugar bowl.

 

the challenge is for a whole month so there is plenty of time to enter and the theme is anything goes but remember to use an image from sugar Nellie or your entry will be removed.

 

here is my DT card for this month....

 

 

I love these fairies!

this one is available in rubber or as a digi over at Funky Kits.

 

I've added some flowers made with a memory box cherry blossom die and my new 'love' sentiment die which is from Paper Smooches.

the stitched hearts are also memory box but I'm not sure which brand of doily die that is so if anyone knows please leave me a message.

 

I've also used my new light studio to take the photo. Its not perfect but its a huge improvement and well worth the money.

 

I hope to see a few of my crafty friends joining in this this months challenge.

I've used a cute fairy digi from A Day for Daisies website and coloured with polychrome pencils.

 

the flowers are various punches including the new Tim Holtz Flower punch which I love.
