the papers are gorgeous double sided ones and came free with this months Cardmaking and papercraft magazine.

MS punch and ebay bargain roses add the finishing touch.

the sentiment is from whimsey stamps.

i will enter this card into the challenge over at sassy cheryl's blog.

i really must think about a male 21st card now, my mind has gone blank. hmmm ok its always blank!

August

hello,
i hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
i've had a crafty day and made a couple of cards and a calendar page.
i also found time to finish a good book so i need to find another one tomorrow.

here is my calendar

the cute digi is from sassy cheryl's
i've fallen in love with these gorgeous images.

i've added some real shells and used a GoKreate die set to cut the letters.

Also today i made my first dresser card

I'm not sure about this one. i think its just a bit too plain but im not sure what to add, any idea's welcome.

i've used a mini topper from liliofthevalley. they are small but perfect for this card.

thank you for stopping by.
Before you leave, please a take a moment to check out my 'items for sale' page. i've added a few more bits today and will be having a sort out this week.

Happy Birthday Billbo

Its my son's birthday tomorrow. (happy birthday Billbo, love you xx) I wasn't sure what sort of card to make for him. fast cars?....he definiately likes those, football?....he definiately likes that, beer?......lets not even go there lol so i suppose he's easy really but i didnt go for any of these. His new hobby is fishing. i think this has more to do with spending time with his brother and the beer cooler than the fish.
                                                                  so here is his card

I've used a hanglar image and coloured it using copics

and of course it is an easel card.

i thought the little fimo fish worked well

i made the sad little worm and hook myself, just freehand drawing and some glossy accents, very simple.

thanks for visiting my blog and for any comments which are always appreciated.
thank you.

A friend like you.

hi crafty friends,
here is a card for all of you!

i've made this card using one of the stamps from the birthday candy i won over at Here Come the Boys.
i love it and its so easy to colour.

I've used my copics.
the sentiment is from a set called Be Happy sentiments from AmyR stamps

have you noticed my new card stand too? its so cute, clear acrylic and 99p from the Range, what a bargain.

i am going to enter this card into a couple of challenges

and

hope you like this card as much as i liked making it.

well the sun is out in full glory so i'm off to the garden now.
dilema......
should i do gardening jobs or take my pens and images outside and do some colouring?
aww its a toughie!

enjoy your day whatever your plans.

Happy 1st Anniversary

Congratulations today to my son and his wife on their first wedding anniversary. wow this year has flown by.

we had a lovely family day yesterday talked about how wonderful the wedding was and looked at the photo's again. it really was a fairytale wedding!

congratulations Gemma and Billy, we are so proud of you both. xx

so, of course i had to make an anniversary card didnt i and here it is,

I tried to keep it simple and used the wedding colours.
the material was saved from the wedding flowers so i thought that would be a great  way to use some of it.

im not too clever with the computer but i even managed to make an insert!

and of course it needed a matching box.

im pleased with the result and gemma loved it.

couldn't resist adding another wedding photo before i end todays post.
i love the way my son is looking over at his brother who was his bestman. talk about two pea's in a pod!

ok, enough family stuff, next post will be back to just crafting.

thanks for looking.

Jubilee Weekend

well what an interesting weekend!
i wish every weekend could be 4 days long.

We had a lovely day out visiting our eldest son and DIL insisted we stayed for dinner. she cooked a lovely roast and we watched the boats sail along the thames from the comfort of their sofa's.
i did worry about the queen getting  cold but she looked like she had a nice day too.

we had another day out,  but this time we didnt have far to go, our youngest son and his GF invited us to dinner and as they only live next door we didnt have to worry about the traffic.
another lovely yummy dinner. i could get used to this.

I did manage to do some crafting while hubby was off out on his walkabouts but i also managed to get the dreaded ironing out the way so i dont have that nagging at the back of my mind. lol

so on to todays project which is June's calender page for papercraftpat.
of course it had to be a jubilee page!
i can't think what else i will use these british papers for though.

it really has been a nice weekend and one i won't forget for a long time.

Love you Dad

Oh no not another easle card?
yesssss! they are my favorites at the moment lol

i used a nice large circle die from GoKreate for this one. i got them from Cuttingedge crafts. (big pat on the back for them, always great service)

papers are Complete Boy stack from craftsuperstore.

the cute image is from Mo's digital pencil. i love this image, i can remember hanging on to my dad's leg like this and trying to get him to have a day off work. lol
it never worked, dad used to work 6 and half days a week and then spend sunday afternoon gardening.

i am going to enter this card into the challenge over at Here come the Boys
