Matching set

aww i enjoyed the challenge over at cupcake and i shall be making more of these now i know its so simple.

the challenge was to make a matching set so i made a card and a post-it note book.

i think the image is penny black. all the papers were freebies from a magazine but i liked the cheerfull sunflowers.

i used labels4 and papermania friends stamp. woodware daisy punch for flowers and a couple of gems from my stash.

challenge between friends, Mono

todays challenge was set by my good friend sarah from DC. any occassion black and white card. sounds simple but the embossing powder was fighting back! i got in a right old mess with it and it wasn't as white as i would have liked it to be, hmmm a bit like my net curtains!

no time for curtain washing or any form of HW though, i'm having far too much fun playing with paper.

RED challenge

hello! i'm here to add my RED theme card for the challenge over at CRAFTS and i really enjoyed this one, if fact i enjoyed the challenge so much i made two red cards. well being a gooner, red is my colour! lol

so here is the first card, i used my prisma pencils to colour the image but i think i need a bit more practice with them.

papers are basic grey and a simple punched heart with craft wire and the cute little silver beads are from poppy-petal designs shop, i love her beads and digi's, check them out if you have a minute.

so this is my first red card, i'll be back later to add the second......watch this space!

something girlie

aww i've had a lovely morning, i got the dreaded ironing done early and then sat playing with paper. this is what i came up with. i am doubling up on my challenges this week and it will go into the girlie challenge over on passion for promarkers and also the sketch challenge on cupcake site, i love both these sites.

my card is made using Basic grey papers Euphoria and the beautiful original artwork is by Usada, (i have got permission to use this) please ask artist if you also want it but no profits can be made from it. (thanks Usada)

i've coloured the image in pale shades of promarkers. i usually go for richer shades but this image just wouldn't work darker....or would it? hmmm

well, i just about have time to make lunch before craft tv come on!

challenge between friends

how cute is this little pup? he came free on a craft magazine. i can't resist a magazine with a freebie stamp on the front!
i've made this card using the sketch over on C.R.A.F.T challenge site. its a great layout and i'm sure i'll be using it again.

dreams

do you think this girl is dreaming of sunshine and warm weather? lol brrr its still so cold here.

i've never tried the resist technique before so i thought i'd have a go at the challenge over on the C.R.A.F.T.challenge site. i've use blue and pink memento inks for the background which matches well with my clouds backing paper. the gorgeous stamp is from art journey.

Brrr its another cold day and i hope you are all warm and safe.

i've so pleased as my advent calender boxes won me a prize on the passionforpromarker site. i have won a sugar nellie stamp but have no idea what one yet so it will be a nice suprise when it arrives.

talking of PFPM site, this is my entry for this week. the theme is love and this billy and lilly stamp is perfect.

the papers are from a kind DC member so i don't know what they are but i would some more! the embellishment is papermania brad maker. the image was coloured using promarker of course!

i've used copics to colour her and added 3D gloss for the rain.

all american christmas celebration

celebrate christmas USA style! i'm in the uk but my dear cousin lives in america so i made this card with a touch of america for her and her husband, we may be miles apart but our hearts celebrate together on christmas day.

2nd challenge!

this is the card i've made for the challenge over on C.R.A.F.T.Challenge. it was for a thank you card, i've got a few of those to make this weekend!

this one done using whitewash paper and a cuttlebug embossing folder, i just love the effect. the paper is My Minds Eye (i think) and the cute little image is from liliofthevalley, i just love this lettel bear! the sentiment is also a cuttlbug one, die cut on my bigshot.

wow 2010 already, can you believe it? where did 2009 and go.

this year i am going to try my best to enter more challenges, starting off with the one over on poppicrafts, the theme is valentines card using black, white and red. a great choice for valentines day but lets not wish the year away lol
