Blog Book & a card

Hi friends,
I hope you don't mind but I'd like to share the Christmas pressie I got for my husband. Yes, I know its a bit late but I can't order this pressie till 1st of January when his blog year has ended.

I've got him his blog in hardback book form again!

this is the front cover and that's hubby's feet!

I bought him his first blog year last Christmas and he loved it so much I decided to get him the second edition.

It really is a great book.

this is one of my favourite pages.... It shows the day he blogged about his first book. how cool is that!

I ordered the book from America, a site called Blog2print
Its a great site and easy to use. I'm not saying its cheap but its a great keepsake.
Hubby thinks this is the perfect excuse for more birding trips thought, he says the next book will be pretty boring if he doesn't get out and find birds to blog about.
hmmm how can anyone be so addicted to their hobby?

don't answer that!
here is my 'fix' for today.....

I've used spellbinders Fanciful Lattice die set for the base.

the picture frame is Opulent Ovals and the flowers are LaLaLand

The image is Shopping Ally from LaLaLand and I've coloured her with copics.

all dies and stamps are from Oysterstamps.

thanks for stopping by again today and if you get a chance please pop over to see hubby's great photo's at Briansbirding

shhhh come closer....Ive got a secret to tell you.....
I've bought a new stamp from a lady in my facebook group and its gorgeous so I'm off to ink it up right now.
(stash ban? what stash ban?)
shhhhhh! our little secret....ok!

Hubby says if I don't stop buying stash he will leave me.......I will miss that man!

LOL

(message to hubby..... I love you really, thanks for putting up with me and my mad hobby)

sassy hearts

Hi all, oh boy its so wet here today, the rain hasn't stopped.
I've stayed in the warm and dry though and kept busy with this little card.

again, apologies for the poor photography skills.
I've made this little card for the challenge over at sassy cheryl's challenge blog.
this week the challenge is anything but square so I chose a triple heart easle. its the first time ive tried this shape but it worked ok.

I've used marianne heart die set. the card is a bit on the small side really but that just makes it cute.
I could do with a set of spellbinders hearts for this shape card but I don't have any. why is there always something I need?

I used a sassy Cheryl's digi again (did I tell you I love this digi site) LOL
I've also used Justrite botanical butterflies stamp set for the sentiments and tiny butterflies.

the pink butterflies are Impression Obsession dies from oysterstamps.

time for one more card today so I could be back soon.

thanks for stopping by.

Botanical Butterflies and spellbindrs

Evening crafty friends, I hope you are all keeping warm and dry.
Its freezing here today!

I've kept busy and made another spellbinders card...

I'm struggling with the light today so my pictures really don't look too good.

It's so difficult to capture the embossing on this spellbinders die, its so beautiful with such deep lines.
the die is spellbinders gold majesty circles

I've used copics to colour the image which is a justrite set called Botanical Butterflies.
the gorgeous butterfly is from the same set and I cut him out and used a 3D pad to give him more dimention.

this was such an easy card to make, these dies do all the hard work for me.

dies and stamps are from www.oysterstamps.co.uk

if anyone has any tips for taking photos of cards I would be gratefull.

thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave.

sassy sally with pearls

Hi friends, I'm here with another sassy Cheryl card to show you.
The theme for this weeks challenge over at sassy cheryls blog is pearls so its nice and easy.
I've used the image called 'Have you Heard' It's another cutie.

I've used a Marianne die for the base card and made it into an easel shape.

I coloured sally with copic markers.

I made the flowers using poppystamps blooming posie die and memorybox fresh foliage for the leaves and of course I've added pearls.

all the dies are available from www.oysterstamps.co.uk
please pop over there and have a look at all the yummy new stash they have got.

I better get a move on now as my visitors will be here any minute.

spellbinders fanciful lattice

hi, I'm here with another night time project, this really is becoming a habit.
anyone out there got any tips to help me sleep?

so here is my card

I've chosen spellbinders fanciful lattice die set.
I usually use plain card when die cutting but decided on a patterned sheet this time and im pleased with the result.

the flowers and leaves are spellbinders Bitty Blossom set. I wanted to add some gold glitter but I don't have any. why do I always want the things I haven't got?
I went for bronze coloured gem instead for my little bit of bling.

I've used vintage photo distress ink on all the edges.

I hope you like the finished card.

Let's Party, (sassy cheryl)

hi, well yet another when I can't sleep so I'm up crafting through the night. this is becoming a habit!

so tonight I printed my new digi from sassy Cheryl
this image is on offer for a bargain price of just $1

I chose an easel shape for this one.

I used a couple of spellbinders dies, labels 1 and scalloped labels 1.
also labels 23 and spellbinders edgeabilities scalloped border dies.

the embossed background is the Tied Together folder that us crafters love. Its available from Oysterstamps if you are still looking for it.

the pretty swirl is a couture creations die called Moments in Time.

I coloured the adorable sassy image with a mix of promarkers and copics.

well I'm still not sleepy so I could either make another card or tidy up my ribbons. hmmm pop back tomorrow (today) to find out which I did.

thank you for stopping by and thank you for any comments you may leave.

I'm going to share this card with the sassy girls over at their Show Me Thursday post. I'd like to show them what I do each night instead of what I'm supposed to be doing.......sleeping!

Black & Red

quick easy card today

card blank is cut from a sheet of black card 5½ by 11 inches
let me know if you need a template with the measurements and cut lines and make one and post it on here.

I used an old book page covered in glamour dust for the background but it doesn't show too well in the photo, it looks so pretty in real life. I used mod podge to stick the page to a sheet of card first to make it stronger.

dies used were memorybox fresh foliage and poppystamps blooming posie.
both available from www.oysterstamps.co.uk

this was a very quick and easy card but I like the end result.

thanks for stopping by.

Baby Boy

Hi, I'm here with another baby card today

I used the Marianne die for the base and spellbinders fancy tags2.

the sentiment is Our Daily Bread baby boy set

I added some stickles all over the sentiment to give it a little sparkle
and the flowers were made using poppystamps Blooming Posie die

This is the inside of my card, I love this bunting, it is spellbinders Banner Basic2 and the letters are memorybox alphabet set.
I used an embossing folder for the pockets.

Why is it I never have the thing I need to complete a card tho? I needed baby blue twine but didn't have any so that is now added to my ever growing 'wants' list.
yes, I really do mean 'ever growing'! have you seen all the new stuff at oysterstamps? if you have you will understand my list.
new heartfelt creations are gorgeous and you know I love colouring in so I need some of those stamps.
the new nesties are to die for so they are on my list too, I deffo need new grand shape.
oh and I mustn't forget the Martha Stewart clay and molds.....and......Justrite stamps.... too much for me to list so pop over to Oysterstamps and have a look for yourself.

all dies used on my card came from oysterstamps.

thanks for stopping by.

Derwent coloursoft pencils

I've got a couple of things to show you today so i'll start with some pretty
pink flowers and ribbons

the picture does them no justice.
all these goodies were in the parcel that arrived today from the free draw I entered at the The ribbon girl. I'm going to alter a keepsake box and keep it for my dressing table so I can admire the flowers.
thank you to Mary and all at the ribbon girl.

next up is a card I made using black card.

I used my new derwent coloursoft pencils for this one and im pleased with the result. the pencils are so soft and creamy and a dream to use.
big thanks to my lovely hubby for treating me to them, he really does spoil me.

here is another card I made with the pencils

this time I used heartfelt creations aster script stamp set and spellbinders fanciful lattice die set.
im too happy with the texture of the watercolour paper so I'm on the look out for some nice smooth paper now.  I love the pencils and I'm off now to try them on kraft card. i'll be back tomorrow to show you how I get on.

thanks for stopping by today.

spellbinders gold majesty circles

here we are in 2014 and new crafty dies and stamps are in the shops.

Oysterstamps have some great new dies so make sure you check them out.

here is a design team card I made for them using the spellbinders gold majesty circles.

I also used Our Daily Bread Fellowship Sentiments stamp set.

I used the BowEasy to make the double bow, it really is a great little tool and is a great price at oysterstamps.

thank you for visiting my blog today and I will try harder to be a better blogger this year.
2013 was not a good year for me but things can only get better so more crafting is on the menu.
