Home Sweet Home card

hi, I'm back again to show you another card I've made using the Joy Crafts die again, I'm loving this one.

the door is hinged so I wanted to make a card with the door open and thought the best way would be a shadow box card.

this is the same design as my previous card, I used the Bricked embossing folder again

this is inside.
I made a Christmas tree using the MS branch punch. I did tell you that is my most used punch, right!

I added some gems and some die cut tiny hearts.

I used the sentiment as a door mat.

the shadow box shaped card is easy enough to make but if anyone wants a tutorial I work on it.

the door is a joy crafts die called Home Sweet Home and I got it from www.iconuk.co.uk
there are such a great company, superfast delivery and the dies are the cheapest I could fine anywhere online. they have a huge range from spellbinders, memorybox, joycrafts.... loads more.
check out their website but hold on to your purse!

thanks for stopping by again to look at my blog, I appreciate your visit.

christmas door card and homemade texture paste

hello, today I've been playing with homemade texture paste and I'm pleased with the results so far.
here is some of it on my latest card...

It's very simple to make.
I used a cheap PVA glue and mixed in a touch of white acrylic paint and then added some talcum powder, enough to make it thick and not too runny.
Give all a good stir and you're ready to go.
I just blobbed in the card with a paint brush and when it was in place I sprinkled on some white glitter
you could use any colour paint but I wanted this to look like snow so of course it had to be white this time. I've got a couple of idea's in head for other colours though so watch this space!
my poor photography skills have let me down again because this card looks so much better in real.life.

I used my new Joy Crafts die 'Home Sweet Home' to cut the door and Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder to mount it on.
the wreath was made with MS branch punch and some gems.

sitting here looking at the card now and I'm wondering if I should add some sort of sentiment to it, what do you think?

right I better get to work on a few more doors while I still have the paste ready. as my dear old mum would say... Waste not, want not!

thank for stopping by

Home for Christmas

Hi all,
I've been playing with kraft card and embossing powders today, im a huge fan of both.

here is one of the cards I made....

I bought this stampendous stamp last year but it love it so much i'm using it again this year

the flowers were made using cheery lynn rose die B436 but only the leaves were used not the rose petals. it was very easy, just cut leaves in red and green and layer up. the centre is an EK punch and a gem. I love the detail on these leaves and didn't have to use my tan mat to achive it, just once though the bigshot.

well I'm off to make another card now while the better half is watching football. although how he does that laying on the sofa with his eyes shut is beyond me! lol

hope you are all having a crafty evening too.

Winter Wishes

Happy Sunday!

Its been a wet and dark day here in Essex but hubby and I decided to have a drive to the coast and do a bit of bird spotting across the marshes.
Hubby was happy and I took my crochet so I was happy too. although I have to admit I did like seeing the Hen harriers and short-eared Owls.

Check out hubby's blog by clicking on his photo on the right-hand side to see the photo's he took.

Back home in the warm not and I'd like to share my latest card with you. I just love this digi image

I used copics to colour the image and added lots of Frantage and crushed glass glitter. its so sparkly, I'm really happy with this card and will be trying it with other colour combo's soon.

you can find the image here

thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave.
