Here is my card for challenge over on Charmedcards, they are offering a fab set of 72 copics as blog candy, yes i did say 72!
Colouring is the best part of card making and i have enjoyed it since i was a little girl. me and my brother would go to woolworths with our pocket money on a saturday morning and while he was choosing his sweets i would be drooling over the pens, pencils and crayons. I still can't walk pass a stand full of pens. I don't have any copics yet so i have used my promarkers to colour this whiff of joy image. the papers are My minds Eyes (my favorites) and the ribbon was from poppicrafts, check out the sale over there, they have some great bargains. i used my new nesties, labels 4 and added a couple of gems to the punched flowers. i'll add a sentiment at a later date, when i know what the card will be used for.
thanks for checking out my blog.

My buddy Blu
this is my card for the challenge over at stampinfortheweekend. They always come up with such great themes and just what i need to get the creative juices flowing. It also gave me the perfect excuse to try out my new HighHopes stamp which i love.
papers are from MyMindsEye, Everyday Tango. Velvet ribbon was in the cheapie basket at the Range so that had to come home with me....well it looked sad and loney!
flower brads were out of my stash and the charm is from ebay, i got little boys and girls, how cute are they. there are some lovely charms over at http://www.poppy-petal-designs.blogspot.com/ and also some really cute digi stamps.
back to my card... i finished it off with some fake stitches. very simple to do, just use a pokey tool to make two rows of alternate dots then join them up with zig lines useing a fine liner pen.
i used the left over paper to decorate the inside of the card.....waste not, want not. as my old mum used to say.

Happy Birthday Billy
it was our son's birthday yesterday and 14 of us went for a huge chinese meal, hmmm it was yummy but far too food.
a good time was had by all.
Elvis died in 1977 and my son wasn't born untill 6 years later but he has always been a fan. i have no idea how that happened!
so this is the card i made for him useing a Tida image and lots of black card.
also added black & white paper and plain grey paper.
ribbon and buttons with a very strip of paper threaded through the holes.
the sentiment was a stamp that came free on a magazine.
the image was coloured with promarkers.
i didn't use many colours, cool grey 1, black and cool grey 4 for the t-shirt and jacket.
umber for the belt, hair and boots.
jeans were done with pastel blue and cornflower and the skin is ivory and blush.
i used a white gel pen to add light to the hair and boots and i also used it on the zip.

Blue & Green?
Happy Saturday!
still no sunshine today but we are having out garden landscaped at the moment so we can't have a BBQ untill it's all finished, i think the sun is waiting for us.
back to crafting.....
i've broken my mum's rules to make this card, sorry mum!
When i was a little girl she would always tell me
'blue and green should never be seen,
unless there's something in between'
she was talking about the clothes i was wearing, i did like to be different LOL
anyway, i think the blue and green works here.
i've used papers from My Minds Eye with a little added ink on the edges. A gorgeous length of crochet ribbon from an auction site...yep you got it, that one!
the swirly bit is a sizzix diecut and i also added a couple of eyelets so i could hang the vellum tag.
image was coloured with promarkers

Happy Birthday MIL
Happy Birthday to my mother-in-law today!
I've made this card for her with black and white papers and used a photo of her dog Holly. Obviously not the best dog in the world...she lives with me and is called Tia hehe
i made the flowers for this card using my daisy punches in 4 sizes.
I really need some help with sentiments so if you have any idea's for me please let me know.
I would also like to know about any blogs with a challenge so i can have a go, please contact me if you have any information.
i think it's time for me to stop with the techo stuff now and get some paper to cut......
watch this space!

Rainy Day!
rainy day card so perfect for today.
Whiff of Joy stamp coloured with whispers pens.
i like to rub the pens onto acetate then lift the ink with a koi water brush.
i added Anita's 3D gloss so bring the rain to life.
papers are from the Eva paper pad but the plain purple and Lime papers are actually expensive wallpaper from a sample book, a really lush freebie.
ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are xcut punches. A couple of sparkly gems add the finishing touch.
sentiment is a clear sticker sent to me from a friend.
Another penny black stamped images, this time from the critter party set and again coloured with whispers pens.
the card blank is a pretty pearlised pink. green card stock was simply torn and stuck on with 3D foam pads
i tried the coathanger charm through an eyelet with some pink embroidery cotton and then hung a card sentiment using eyelets and jump rings....yeah ok i agree it was a bit fiddely but it was worth it.
was that summer?
was that it, is summer over now? i hope not.
well the rain is back today so it's a perfect time to stay inside and play with pretty paper. I've got a couple of cards to add over the next couple of days but i thought i'd start today with some oldies.
for this one i used some nursery papers and two silk flowers.
the image is a penny black stamp and coloured with
whispers pens.
no sentiment yet because i just couldn't make up my mind what to use or what occassion to use the card for.
so thats the first oldie.....on to the next......
