Special Little Girl & CHALLENGE

good afternoon,
Its a lovely sunny day here today, I wonder if my better half is making the most of it and having lunch with his new camera?
He does take lovely pictures though.

enough about his hobby, I'm here with my shaped card as promised on oysterstamps FB page.
I must thank all the ladies on there for the lovely comments on my cards. you know you only have to ask and i will do my best to help with any questions you have.
so a couple of ladies wanted to know the folds for this card....

i've used Our Daily Bread Dies and stamped imaged and memory box Nottingham border.

now, i don't claim to have any of my husbands photography skills so appologies for my photo's

start with a sheet 12cms x 30cms
and fold in half lenghtways

along the 30cm length, score at 6cm and 24cm

these are your two mountain folds

then the diagonal lines which are harder to explain....bare with! lol

put a mark on the 11cm point at the top and bottom of the paper and on the middle line mark 8cms. now with diagonal lines join them up.

do the same with a mark on the middle line at 22cm and outside edges at 19cms.

(am i making sense)?

the diagonal lines are valley folds.

this is what it should look like flat.

and this is the view from above.

now all you have to do is make some mats and layers in your favorite papers.
well, not your 'favorite' favorite papers beacuse we know we can't bring ourselves to use those ones.
(or is that just me)?

i used a large circle die to add my centre piece but an oval would look lovely aswell.

so if you need any help or you just want to say hello then please do.

it would be great if you left me a link so i can see the cards you make in this style.
if i get more than 5 links i might even find a little gift to send to my favorite one.

good luck!

  7. This is a really lovely card, thank you so much for sharing the instructions with us, I remember years ago making one like this and I had forgotten all about it (don't all crafter's do that), it is nice to be able to resurrect it again. Thanks also for telling us about the stamp you used. June xx
