christmas door card and homemade texture paste

hello, today I've been playing with homemade texture paste and I'm pleased with the results so far.
here is some of it on my latest card...

It's very simple to make.
I used a cheap PVA glue and mixed in a touch of white acrylic paint and then added some talcum powder, enough to make it thick and not too runny.
Give all a good stir and you're ready to go.
I just blobbed in the card with a paint brush and when it was in place I sprinkled on some white glitter
you could use any colour paint but I wanted this to look like snow so of course it had to be white this time. I've got a couple of idea's in head for other colours though so watch this space!
my poor photography skills have let me down again because this card looks so much better in real.life.

I used my new Joy Crafts die 'Home Sweet Home' to cut the door and Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder to mount it on.
the wreath was made with MS branch punch and some gems.

sitting here looking at the card now and I'm wondering if I should add some sort of sentiment to it, what do you think?

right I better get to work on a few more doors while I still have the paste ready. as my dear old mum would say... Waste not, want not!

thank for stopping by
