txt time

Hi Guys,
I've got a real cutie to show you today...

this little Furry Friend Txting is a digi image from funky kits

Isn't he adorable!

I've used a pale grey copic marker to colour him, just plain and very simple.

I added some large metal eyelets and used an embossing folder for some texture.

I die cut the sentiment and glued it with a slight curve to fit the circle.

I didn't want to waste the rest of the paper I had used so I decorated the inside.

I hope we will see a few of you over at the sugar bowl to join in with our challenge.

thanks for visiting my blog today and please leave me a comment so I can visit you too.

Now, this wasn't easy because when it comes to crafting I have lots of favourite things.

hmm but there two things at the top of my list and they are my Bigshot and my copics. so ive used both on this card....

I used spellbinders floral ovals dies to make the frame.

and this adorable little Tilda stamp was coloured with the following copic markers.

dress and shoes.

hair colours

skin

When I win the lottery I'm not going to buy a big flash mansion and a sports car...
oh no, I will be buying all the copic sketch markers and all the dies that take my fancy!

ok..... maybe a small mansion.

I guess we can all dream aye.

so back in the real world and I'm still happy with the pens I've collected so far. they really are my favourite craft items.

What is your favourite? maybe you could use it and join in our challenge.

June Pinterest project

Hello, I'm here to show you my pinterest project for June.

My news years resolution was to pick one idea from pinterest to try out, that means anything that takes my fancy, it could be a card, crafty tip or even a cleaning tip (unlikely) or a recipe..anything as long as I found it on pinterest.

So this month I chose a crochet doily.

I've used a very pale lilac cotton thread, although it looks cream but trust me, it is lilac.
I just used the cotton that a friend gave me in a mixed bundle so I wasn't worried  about the colour, I just wanted to see if I could make it. I'm new to crochet but I think I'm doing ok.

you can see the original pin here and Ester has the free pattern on there.
its such a great blog!

I'm feeling pleased with myself for being able to complete this doily without too many faults. (don't look too closely)

My friend Margaret is joining in with my pinterest calendar each month so I hope you will find the time to pop over and see what this talented lady has made for june.
you can find her blog here

If anyone wants to join us for one or more months then just make something from pinterest and let me know so I can link to your blog.
If you don't have a blog that's ok too, I can still share your project here if you contact me.

thanks for stopping by today and please come back on Wednesday to see my new creative inspirations DT card.

1st Birthday for a little boy.

hello, welcome to my blog.

today I have a DT card for Creative Inspirations to show you.
the theme is something for the men so I made this card in a box for a 'little' man.

I just love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil. It reminds me of my own little boys.
hmm they are not so little anymore but will always be my boys.

this shape card is really easy to make and folds flat to fit into a 6x6 envelope but I used slightly longer one because I want the top balloon stick out of the top.

image was coloured with copic markers and I added various die cuts for the stars and sentiment.

I know a lot of us crafters hate male cards but I love them. I have a lot more men in my family than women so I guess im just used to making them now.

I'm always looking for new inspiration though so I hope you will all join us this week and show us your male cards.

oh and just to tempt you....
Cult Pens is our sponsor this week and have offered a £10 voucher to our winner.
how generous is that?
I would be heading straight to the copics is I won that.
what would you spend it on?

enter your male cards here I'm looking forward to blog hopping to see your cards throughout the week.

hugs Suzanne x (craft addict)

Buttons and Bows

Hi guys, aw I just love the theme this week at creative inspirations....

Buttons and bows!

there are so many idea's going around in my head but here is the card I've made

I chose a LOTV stamp and coloured him with copic markers

I also layered him with 3D foam pads to bring him to life.

white organza ribbon and a yellow button worked perfectly with my papers.

BUT.....

I enjoyed this theme so much I decided to make something completely different for the same theme, so here is another card

I cut the card with a nesties label die and then used washi tape.

I used a crochet doiley and added a glittered heart.

the heart is made using a book page and glamour dust, then simply punched with a woodware heart punch.

I tried a pink button but wasn't happy that so I covered it with the washi tape so it matches perfectly.
and of course I needed a bow for the theme so I added some gorgeous cotton that my friend Sandy sent me. (thank Sandy)

I finished the card off with a sentiment and some random gems.

there are endless possiblitites for this weeks theme and I'm so looking forward to seeing what you make.

enter your cards here

thanks for visiting my blog today

Special Friends

Hello, happy Wednesday!

Its challenge day at creative inspirations again and this week our theme this week is friends so we hope to see a lot of our friends joining in.

Here is my card....

I chose this cute crafters companion bunny stamp today and stamped him onto kraft card.
I then set about colouring him using my prisma pencils

I blended the colours with sansodor

I tired to keep the card simple but added a little interest with the sentiment layered up and added flowers.

I hope we will see a lot of you joining in again this week and there is another great prize up for grabs.

these boots were made for walking.....

Hi All,

I finally got my hands on a new stamp from Woodware and couldn't wait to get it inked up.

I first saw this stamp used by Coops and loved what she had done with it but each time I searched for it it was out of stock. I managed to get it from CraftsULove while they had  the free postage weekend.

I stamped it onto DCWV paper from a stack called Nana's Kids. Its lovely thick card rather than paper and already has glitter so less work for me.

I added some shading with copics onto the rubber sole but also on the patterned paper too.
there was a lot of stamping and cutting involved and some of it was rather fiddly but I love fiddly crafting.

I added the shadow and light behind the image but then noticed the die from the backing vellum had transferred from my fingers to the image...... I did say a few choice words and was ready to smash the whole lot in the bin but after a deep breath I sat back and had another look.... how can I save it?
eureka!
I got out the copics again and drew in some slodges over the top of the die. I think its worked and only me and you know what I did. LOL

the sentiment comes in the same set as the sneakers and I added the splodges to that too.

I think I will be using this stamp a lot.

thanks for stopping by.
