I've coloured her with copic markers and used a CC Design sentiment stamp.

the clouds are a die set from Joy crafts.

Pretty Pastels at creative creations

hi crafty friends,

well this card was a real challenge for me this week because I'm not a pastel sort of person, I much prefer deep strong colours.
But I love a challenge so I gathered my 000 shades of copics and set to work on a tiddlywinks image.

I chose some pastel papers and cut the cheery lyn flourish and added some pink punched flowers

I don't think I did too well with this challenge so I sure you can do better.

come and join us and make me fall in love with pastels!

HERE is the challenge

May Pinterest Project

hello, as some of you know my new years resolutions is to make one project from pinterest each month so here is what I have chosen for may...

ok ok I know its a very simple bookmark but I was leaving it a bit late and didn't want to let myself down this early in the year so a quick project was the answer.

you can find original idea on my pinterest board
I actually tweeked the pattern a little bit coz I liked the double flower.

it really was easy to make.

my friend Margaret is also doing the challenge with me so I hope you will keep an eye on her blog to see what she is making this month.

if anyone wants to join us please leave me a comment so I can direct people over to your blog.
it can be anything you like on pinterest, card making, cleaning, gardening, recipes..... anything!

thanks for stopping by and please pop back on the 30th to see my first DT card for the SugarBowl.

Anything Goes

hi crafty friends,
I've got a special card to show you today, special to me anyway because its for my son.

It's also my DT card for the Anything Goes challenge over at creative Inspirations this week.

my son is very 'hands on' and is landscaping his garden at the moment so this digi from cuddly buddly was perfect for him.

I coloured it with copic markers (my favourite)
I drew the spade myself (yes, I know you can tell that) lol
I covered it with a couple of coats of think embossing powder to try to improve it a little bit.
I pinched the sand from my son's garden. im sure he wont notice!

I have added his name using LawnFawn alphabet stamps. I love the way these stamps line up on the block making them soooo much easier to use than most other sets I've tried.

If you have any questions please leave a comment here or you can find me on facebook and pinterest.
I hope we will see a lot of you talented crafters joining in with us this week. you can link your cards HERE

thanks for stopping by today and if you have time to leave a comment and let me know you were here that would be great as I often feel like I'm talking to myself!

oh and don't forget to check out the DT members, they have some amazing cards to show you this week.

hugs Suzanne xx

Creative inspirations has gone Shabby Chic

yep that's right, we at creative inspirations have gone shabt chic this week and the design team have made some beautiful creations to help inspire you.

I've made a heart shaped box and filled it with chocolates for my dear old mum.

she had dementia but still loves to get handmade things from me and of course she loves the chocolate.

the box was easy to make using Sizzix Framelits heart shape dies and matching scalloped dies. then a 2" strip cut to create the sides of the box.

the sentiment is from the Fiskars Memory stamp set

flowers are ready made from The Range.

the purple material was 'borrowed' from the flowers at my son and daughter-in-laws wedding.
sadly my dear mum will not understand the sentimental side of that.

this box will have a long life because my mum never throws away my creations and I mean never. she still has a load of pottery 'junk' that I made when I was school. (many moons ago)
She wont even let my dad throw away the birthday cards I've made. Its kinda sweet that she treasures them.

so back to the challenge this week....
we would love to see your shabby chic creations this week.
just link them here to be in with a chance of winning a lovely little prize.

happy crafting!

hugs Suzanne xx

Anniversary Holiday

Hello, I'm back in blogland after my week away with my husband.
it was our 33rd anniversary on 1st May and we always have a week away somewhere, usually Wales but this year we decided to go all the way up to the Scottish Highlands.

we booked a cottage in Stontian and it was beautiful.

this cottage certainly had the Wow factor with 4 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, 3 bathrooms and a huge 1.5 acre garden for tia to place safely in.

part of the huge garden. we had a gorgeous stag standing under that big tree every morning.

dinning room

huge kitchen which I enjoyed cooking in. look at that gorgeous Range!

amazing all round views from this room

one of the living rooms

cozy tv room

one of the bedrooms

the patio

one of the living rooms with fantastic views.

 the garden

Tia soon found her fresh water in the utility room.

not sure how I feel about this real deer head on the wall. its majestic yes but I'd rather it was alive.

Hmm this is a craft blog so I'm in danger of boring you all but wait......

there is crafts to come.

first there is the card I made hubby

I got the idea from pinterest of course!

I used the words to a song I love and which make me think of my husband. 'Angel of mine' by Eternal.
(oh that's so mushy)

so that's my crafty make and now I have crafty news which I want to share with you.

Just before I left for our holiday I got an email from Fi to say they would like me to join them at Sugar Bowl. Oh boy I was so happy!

Sugar Nellie cards will be fun to make and I already use lots of their images so please pop back here to see what I make and of course i'll link the challenges and other DT members blogs so you can get inspired to join in with the challenges.

i'll be back soon to post some creations.

thanks for stopping by.
hugs Suzanne xx

Birthday Bonanza at creative inspirations

we all love a freebie right?
well this is one of the best freebies I've had from a mazine a little while ago.
its the Teddybea and Teddybo clear stamp set.

I've chosen to use this for the birthday bonanza card I've made for creative inspirations this week.

I've coloured TeddyBea with copic markers

E44 E43 E42 E41
R20
YG91 YG95 YG95

the card folds flat to become a 6x6in card but the balloon makes it taller so a larger envelope is needed.
of course that's not a problem with the Envelope punch board.

instructions for this 'card in a box' shape can be found on pinterest but I will add my own tutorial here if anyone requests it.

please come and join us at creative inspirations and show us what you have made for birthday celebrations this week.
As always there is a great prize up for grabs.

thanks for stopping by my blg.

hugs Suzanne x
