Its a lovely sunny day here today, I wonder if my better half is making the most of it and having lunch with his new camera?
He does take lovely pictures though.
enough about his hobby, I'm here with my shaped card as promised on oysterstamps FB page.
I must thank all the ladies on there for the lovely comments on my cards. you know you only have to ask and i will do my best to help with any questions you have.
so a couple of ladies wanted to know the folds for this card....
i've used Our Daily Bread Dies and stamped imaged and memory box Nottingham border.
now, i don't claim to have any of my husbands photography skills so appologies for my photo's
start with a sheet 12cms x 30cms
and fold in half lenghtways
along the 30cm length, score at 6cm and 24cm
these are your two mountain folds
then the diagonal lines which are harder to explain....bare with! lol
put a mark on the 11cm point at the top and bottom of the paper and on the middle line mark 8cms. now with diagonal lines join them up.
do the same with a mark on the middle line at 22cm and outside edges at 19cms.
(am i making sense)?
the diagonal lines are valley folds.
this is what it should look like flat.
and this is the view from above.
now all you have to do is make some mats and layers in your favorite papers.
well, not your 'favorite' favorite papers beacuse we know we can't bring ourselves to use those ones.
(or is that just me)?
i used a large circle die to add my centre piece but an oval would look lovely aswell.
Sorry, I've been slow with my blog, I've been working on a special project which i will tell you all about when i can. (thats got you interested hasn't it, we all love a secret) lol
you will just have to wait but for now i promised i would add a template here for my princess card.
this is the front of my card, i used Our Daily Bread princess set from oystarstamps
and here is the lovely pop up insert.
it really isnt difficult to do.
i've used a glitter spray to the sentiments.
here is the template that i used, kindly posted for me from a friend.
please feel free to contact me if you need help with this card.
hello, wow its a lovely sunny day here again in Essex. It looks almost like spring apart from the patches of snow that have hung around.
I've got something a bit different for you today, some of you may know that i did a calendar challenge with papercraftpat last year, we both enjoyed that so decided this year we would make a scrapbook each month. I have pats photo's and she has some of mine so its nice to see which one's we pick for a project each month and this is my first one.....
these are pats 'boys'
sorry about the position of the watermark but these are not my children so only right for me to cover their faces. even though they are very cute faces!
Peter and Paul and now in their 40's and have children of their own.
I've picked K&Co papers with colours to match the boys sweaters.
the large letters are from a sizzix die set called Broadway Melody
the small letters are GoKreate dies.
The gorgeous corner die was a gift from a docrafts friend but i have a feeling i will need to buy it soon.
It is available from oysterstamps.
I have really enjoyed making the first scrapbook page and i think I could really get into scrapping.
watch this space!
Thank you for stopping to veiw my blog, please leave a comment just to say hello so I know you have been to visit me.
hello, i am suzanne, a craft addict!
i started making cards in july 08 and thanks to docrafts and all the lovely members i have learnt so much and made some lovely friends. Then DC went and made a ridiculous change to their site and spoilt everything for us. Many the DC members (over 300) of us now meet on facebook instead under the group name DC Refugees. (shame on you DoCrafts)!
I hope you find something you like here on my blog. please feel free to ask if you want to know anything about any of my projects and I would really appreciate it if you found the time to leave me some love in the comments box.
hell I could do with some love right now!
