I added flowers and used impression obsession bare tree die for the branches.

the frame is spellbinders gold majesty circles die set, a little spun sugar distress ink made the image really pop.
the card base is made using spellbinders grand labels dies.

I'm blaming the dark weather for the poor photos, it cant be my phototgraphy skills LOL

thank you card with filigree delight

hello,

i'm back from a really lovely weeks away, relaxing in the Norfolk countryside. I found us a beautiful barn to stay in and we all celebrated hubby's 50th birthday together.
It really was so perfect!
we didn't hear any fireworks either so our Tia was a happy girl too.

the barn was amazing and one morning we laid in bed watching a barn owl hunting not 10 feet away from us. hubby said its the most comfortable birdwatching he has ever done. lol

the bedroom window was huge and I could have stayed in the bed admiring the view all day! lol

check out hubby's blog for photos of the birds we saw here

but enough of that... lets get back to crafting and here is todays card...

well I've done it again grrrrrr!
can anyone tell me how to flip this photo the right way up?

seriously, I think I should give up blogging i'm rubbish at it!
this picture is the right way up in my saved folder but after 5 attempts at loading here I've had to give up.

I've used filigree delight die
floral ovals, both spellbinders.
impression obsession hearts die
and justrite grand sentiments stamp set.

thanks for stopping by and a huge thanks to my boys and their other halves for making last week so special.
(Michael & Lucy. Billy & Gemma, we love you all) x x

thank you card

wow two posts in one day!

this one is for a thank you card.

my dil asked me to make a thank you card for her teacher friends who gave her some gift vouchers for her birthday so I thought this woj image would be perfect.
she looked just like when she came home from her spending spree. (only her smile was bigger)

all dies from www.oysterstamps.co.uk

Baby Boy

hi All,

i'm here with a baby card today.
for those of you who know me you will know how difficult I found this card to make.
of course I happy for the new mummy and daddy but still find this a heart breaking subject.

having said that, I did want to make a nice card so here is my effort

as you can see, I still have a blank panel. I'm waiting for the little lad to be named so I can add the details to the card.
(come on mummy and daddy, give him a name)! LOL

I used a stamp that I bought from a very kind lady on facebook (I think our path's have crossed for a reason and a friendship has begun).
the stamp is fizzymoon

die's used are spellbinders lacy squares
spellbinders lacy circles
spellbinders picot edge circles
lala land heart border
memory box classic alphabet
and Martha stewart heart border punch

i'll update this post with a finished photo when the baby has a name and my card is completed properly.

thanks for stopping by

spellbinders Fanciful lattice kraft card

hi, Im here today to show you my new spellbinders die set.
its called Fanciful lattice and its a great size, approx. 5x7 inches so perfect for card blanks.

I chose my favourite kraft card for this one

adding white ink makes the frames stand out.
the smaller frame is also spellbinders, decorative labels 8 set and stamped that with justrite grand sentiments stamps using versafine vintage sepia.

the flowers are spellbinders bitty blossom set coloured with copics R20 R11and YG91

I mounted the kraft card onto a white blank to give me the tiny white border and because I prefer the inside of the card to be white rather than brown. its just a personal thing.

its that time of year again, you know... when its too dark to get good photo, unless you are a great photographer, which I am not so please forgive me for my poor efforts. one of these days I will get round to making a light box to see if that helps. its on my ever growing to-do list. why does that list never get any shorter even though I spend more than half my life crafting!

the clock has just chimed for midnight and for those who know me you will know this is my favourite time for cardmaking so guess what I am off to do now? lol

back with another card tomorrow.

thank you for stopping by.

Apple Tree

hello,
i'm here to show you another card. this time I've used mostly Impression Obsession dies
from oysterstamps

this isn't a very good photo, i'll try to replace it when the light is better. (its raining again here)

the inspiration for this card came from my friend Abby, she sent me some lovely little white brads so I decided to colour them with pens to make them look like little apples.
(think i'll do cherries next time)

I used I.O dies Fence, bare tree and branch.
the cat is a poppystamps die.

I couldn't bare to through away the small length of fence that I had to snip off so I used it on the ribbon, hmmm is that 'bright' or just 'tight'? lol

right, im off to finish a scrapbook page now. oh I do love crafty days!

thanks for stopping by,

Happy Birthday Izzy

Happy Birthday to a special little girl, Izzy.
she was 1 year old yesterday.

Her mummy is my good friend sarah (ss73 on docrafts)

sarah is doing a good job because Izzy is such a happy smiley little girl.

here is the card I made for her

poor photography again sorry.
how can I have such bad photo's when I have such a talented husband?
I really need to talk him into taking my blog photos for me in future. hmm like that's gonna happen! lol

anyway, back to my card,
I used a cute little hanglar image and coloured it with copics.

I also added some glitter to her wings

I love the JustRite banners and Buttons dies and I used the matching stamp set. both from oysterstamps

I was a little worried that this card was too pink but a friend told me there is no such think as 'too' pink.

Izzy had a lovely birthday and I know she will have a great party on Saturday.

Happy first Birthday Izzy!

thanks for stopping by blog.

Another Butterfly

Hi, I'm back with another butterfly card. I got this idea while making the last card.

I have to admit, it was slightly fiddly but I like the finished effect.

I've used cream card again and cut with spellbinders Marvelous Squares, these were layered up using 3D foam.

here is the fiddly part...

I cut the couture creations butterfly twice, one in dark red card and one in script card.
then I used all the tiny pieces of script card into the red one.

I also added some fine glitter to the script card before cutting.

3 little pearls added the finishing touch.

this has to be my favourite butterfly die!

available from www.oysterstamps.co.uk

right, im off to finish a card for a very special little's girls 1st birthday.

thanks for stopping by,

Butterfly Card

Hi friends,

My blog posts are like buses, you don't see one for ages then two come at the same time!
(note to self.... must do better)!

So, here I am so quickly with another card, this time I've used Couture Creations butterfly die which is lovely. I had another idea pop into my head for this die while I was making this card so I may be back with that tomorrow.

I've also used the Couture Creations swirl die and mounted it onto cream card which I embossed using cuttlebug Chicken Wire folder.

the butterfly is cut in wine card and the wings sit up giving a lovely effect but they do lay flat for posting.

the frame is spellbinders resplendent recangles and the sentiment is whimsy. this card is my DT card for Oysterstamps so everything I've used is available from them.

check out their new arrivals, OMG they have some yummy new dies and stamps.

hmmm so, should I try out that butterfly idea that is in my head now? I won't sleep until its out of there will I.

watch this space!

thanks for stopping by.

White heat embossing

Hi crafters,

I had to come and show you my latest card, I'm really pleased with this one.

I've been meaning to try white heat embossing for ages and finally got round to it. It won't be the last time I do it either!

here is my card

sorry about the poor photography again.

I've used Kraft card and layered it on white card.

I stamped the gorgeous Heartfelt Creations Aster stamp and then used the stampendous white embossing powder.....simples!
then I added a little colour using copics.

a white ribbon and a sentiment finished the card nicely.

this was such a simple card to make and very little colouring needed but I love the end result. that's such a rare thing for me to say about my own cards.

I hope you like too.
thank you for stopping by,

It's bright red in real life but my photography skills are rubbish!

I've use a gorgeous heart die from Impression Obsession
I cut it out of the cardstock and then put it back in. why have I not done this before? I'm so pleased with the result.
I'll try it with other dies later.

Flowers for spring

oh it looks like spring is finally here.
I've spent the last two days sitting in the garden with my images and copics. what could be better than that?

here is one of  the images,

this is a Heartfelt Creations stamp set called Vintage Floret Bouquet.
its is such a pleasure to colour these heartfelt stamps, I love them.

and here is the image made up into an easle card

I used grande  labels 23 from spellbinders and also spellbinders edgeabilities classic scallops.

for the sentiment I used JustRite Ornate Happiness Squares and clear embossing powders over a versacolour ink called imperial purple.

pussycat notecards

hello, its me, the worlds worst blogger!
I thought it really is time I came on here and showed you what I've been up to.

today I made a couple of quick notecards

I've used Kraft cardstock because I love it!
the adorable little cat is from oysterstamps, its a poppystamps die.
the sentiment is a whimsy stamp. and a little black and white dotty ribbon finished it off.
very quick and easy.

second up is ...
another kraft card. this time I used the hole left by the die and put black card behind it. I love the way this turned out.
I just used a copic fineliner to freehand the sentiment.
(note to self..... buy alphabet stamp set)
I finished it off with some freehand doodling around the border.

and here they are together. two little cards that took me less than 15 minutes to make.

keep an eye out for this cutie little cats, i'll be using them a lot!

I need to give them names because everytime I use the 'c' word my Tia jumps up and runs into the garden barking at the top of her voice. silly dog!

so if you can think of name let me know.

thanks for visiting me today and sorry for the shock that I actually got round to blogging.

lol
(must try harder)

Vintage wedding

Hello, at last i'm feeling better and back to blog land.

I've made a Vintage wedding card today

I've used my new Heartfelt Creations die from spellbinders called Decorative Leafy Frame and backed it with some lace which doesn't show too well in the photo.

the photo is one I found on the internet with no copyright and cut out using spellbinders Opulent ovals. I haven't had a chance to play with these ovals properly yet but there are so many ways to use them. watch my blog for more idea's as I will give them another try tonight.

I wanted to show you the impression obsession heart stems but my photo's have decided to load the wrong way up and I have no idea how to put them right.

the heart stems are so delicate, I can see me using them a lot more.

grrrr another sideways photo showing the lalaland rolled roses and memorybox fresh foliage dies.

I used a little vintage photo distress ink to age the card.

all supplies from www.oysterstamps.co.uk

thanks for stopping by.

hugs Suzanne x

memory box fresh foliage die and also memory box number dies.

as this was a special birthday i thought i'd make a quick box
i used my mini martha steward score board to make the edge pattern.
i love the mini board, its so handy for these little jobs.

(i'm blaming the painkillers)

I'm here to show you another La La Land card, this time for a special boy.

I've used Luca with Truck stamp by la la land and purchased from oysterstamps

also used the la la land Heart Fence die and heart tree die.
these dies are so easy to cut and remove from the die, i just love them!

the sentiment is from a stamp set called special boy by Our Daily Bread, also from oysterstamps.

Luca is coloured with copic markers.

ok, time to clean the bathroom, i've put it off long enough!

Special Little Girl & CHALLENGE

good afternoon,
Its a lovely sunny day here today, I wonder if my better half is making the most of it and having lunch with his new camera?
He does take lovely pictures though.

enough about his hobby, I'm here with my shaped card as promised on oysterstamps FB page.
I must thank all the ladies on there for the lovely comments on my cards. you know you only have to ask and i will do my best to help with any questions you have.
so a couple of ladies wanted to know the folds for this card....

i've used Our Daily Bread Dies and stamped imaged and memory box Nottingham border.

now, i don't claim to have any of my husbands photography skills so appologies for my photo's

start with a sheet 12cms x 30cms
and fold in half lenghtways

along the 30cm length, score at 6cm and 24cm

these are your two mountain folds

then the diagonal lines which are harder to explain....bare with! lol

put a mark on the 11cm point at the top and bottom of the paper and on the middle line mark 8cms. now with diagonal lines join them up.

do the same with a mark on the middle line at 22cm and outside edges at 19cms.

(am i making sense)?

the diagonal lines are valley folds.

this is what it should look like flat.

and this is the view from above.

now all you have to do is make some mats and layers in your favorite papers.
well, not your 'favorite' favorite papers beacuse we know we can't bring ourselves to use those ones.
(or is that just me)?

i used a large circle die to add my centre piece but an oval would look lovely aswell.

so if you need any help or you just want to say hello then please do.

it would be great if you left me a link so i can see the cards you make in this style.
if i get more than 5 links i might even find a little gift to send to my favorite one.

good luck!

suzanne x
